this happens to everyone. we are born, and then things happen.
i'm realizing that for me - i don't know if this is also happening with a lot of you too, who are in your twenties - that the 20s are a time when you are coming to terms with your story. with what happened before.
as you are doing that, coming to terms, understanding how that has shaped you, you realize that you are in the present and turning towards the future you can see that you have a voice and an energy that will inform how the rest of your story will unfold.
of course things happen that you can't control. but in every story, the events that occur have you in them, and that is where the power to understand and unfold your story begins.
i think 25 will be a good year.

twenty-five
at 13:13 today i turn 25.
i'm actually really looking forward to getting older - the twenties are hard, because you're still growing up but with a job and responsibilities that keep getting bigger. so you're kind of like a teenager but with an income.
a lot of people i've talked to have been reassuring about the thirties. so i'm looking forward to those years more than i can say. no one knows what will happen, but in terms of the self-discovery - well, hopefully things have fleshed out enough by then that there will be some comfort. that would be nice. but since you can never tell, we'll just have to wait and see...
i really enjoyed the lunar eclipse on wednesday night. i love the moon (my first word was "moon") and i think it is one of the most magical and beautiful things about our planet. i love that we have a moon.
if you haven't already seen pictures, daily dose of imagery has a great photo and sparklite has a beautiful one.
